Analysis of three major classifications of AR display technology

Today, when VR/AR becomes a technology slogan, the brain-opening AR application turns the magic in the movie into reality. In the AR world, even without any screen as a carrier, the display of virtual objects can be completed by recording and reproducing the light field. Then the problem comes along. When the AR technology matures, will it lead the display industry to really go to the era of no screen? Will there be a disruptive impact on the flat panel display industry by then?

The so-called AR is augmented reality, which applies virtual information to the real world, and superimposes computer-generated virtual objects, scenes or system prompt information into real scenes, thereby realizing the enhancement of reality. Therefore, in Google's view, AR is the future development trend, because it can bring people more interactive experience, rather than the isolation of virtual and reality.

From a technical point of view, AR's display technology is mainly divided into three types: First, Video-Based AR, such as PokemanGo, an AR game based on handheld mobile devices, has become the most common AR display technology because it does not need to purchase additional equipment. The screen of the mobile device acts as a window or amplifier to display the world after the virtual information is superimposed. The second is OpTIcal-Based AR, such as Meta-Holo and HoloLens for head-mounted optical imaging. According to the working principle, it can be divided into optical perspective and video perspective. The AR technology can bring a better experience and free hands. The focus of research on many AR hardware manufacturers at home and abroad. The third is the ProjecTIon-Based AR, such as MIT's SixSense project, which projects the generated virtual information directly into the real scene that needs to be fused, without wearing an AR helmet or glasses, but because it requires additional projection equipment, it has not been The consumer market is widely accepted.

In recent years, global technology giants have been deployed in the AR field, including Google Glass, Microsoft HoloLens, MetaAR glasses, Oculus, and Magic leap, which has received investments from Google and Alibaba. Recently, Apple has also considered extending wearable devices to Glasses with AR function. However, these technology giants also have different technical paths.

In an interview with the reporter of China Electronics News, Dr. Cao Yu from the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences said that there is no need for any medium for aerial suspension imaging, and the technical difficulty is very high, which is difficult to commercialize in the next five years. AR glasses now require display devices, such as Meta and Google Glass, which are imaged by a microprojector. Microsoft HoloLens uses a display device such as an optical waveguide to project a "holographic" image. The Magic leap uses light field display technology. The light field display technology can be understood as digital holography, and the visual effect is more realistic. However, the amount of data and the amount of calculation are larger, and higher requirements are placed on display devices and computing performance. Google and Oculus are also stocking light field related technologies.

In different technical paths, Cao Yu is more optimistic about the light field to show the future prospects. According to the reporter, the light field display technology displays the real scene by "perfect" by recording and reproducing the light in the space. By presenting images of different depths, the user can achieve active focusing when viewing close-up or distant views, thereby making the ciliary muscles free to flex, greatly reducing eye fatigue and dizziness. Traditional LCDs and OLEDs can only display 2D images and cannot display light fields.

Steel Structures

Steel structures can be used in many industries such as foundation reinforce, electric power transmission structures and tubular scaffolding, etc.

A flange can also be a plate or ring to form a rim at the end of a pipe when fastened to the pipe. A blind flange is a plate for covering or closing the end of a pipe. A flange joint is a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together.

Although the word flange generally refers to the actual raised rim or lip of a fitting, many flanged plumbing fittings are themselves known as 'flanges':

There are many different flange standards to be found worldwide. To allow easy functionality and interchangeability, these are designed to have standardised dimensions. Common world standards include ASA/ASME (USA), PN/DIN (European), BS10 (British/Australian), and JIS/KS (Japanese/Korean). In the USA, ANSI stopped publishing B16.5 in 1996, and the standard is ASME B16.5
